Replaces Case IH Countershaft Key part numbers: PO23196,  P023196.

The keys lock the countershaft slip clutch gear to the shaft as shown in the last photo.  Worn out keys will often cause the slip clutch not to engage properly.  When replacing the slip clutch gears it is always good to replace the keys if they show wear.
