These seed plate can also be used in Allis Chalmers planters using "Bar Type" seed plates.  They will fit Allis Chalmers Model 71,  72,  73,  74,  Allis Chalmers G tractor planter attachments,  and other AC planter models.

This style seed plate is referred to as a "Bar Type" seed plate and also listed as Type "Y" seed plates in Deere seed plate catalogs.

Bar type seed plates (Type "Y" plates) refer to the crossbar in the inside of the seed plate with the mounting hole in the center.

These plates are used in older John Deere 99, 919, and 999 and other Deere horse drawn planters.  Later model Deere planter's seed plates DO NOT have the cross bar and center hole.
