Please note (very important): IH Farmall 140 Tractors could have "STANDARD" or "FAST STEER" steering option.  This steering worm gear shaft will NOT interchange between these two options. This shaft is for "STANDARD STEERING" models ONLY.  The upper Woodruff key slot is 1/4" inch in width.   You MUST compare this slot to your existing steering shaft to ensure this shaft will work. Tractors with "FAST STEER" option this Woodruff key slot is 3/16" inch in width.  See last image for Woodruff key location (item #20).

Also, we stock the steering sector shaft snap ring (47679D) to ensure the sector gear and upper bearing are locked firmly in place.  This snap ring can lose tension due to years of hard use.
